Gather, Grow and Go
This spring’s Time & Talent Test Drive Appeal promoted the ways that participating in ministry can be life-giving—and even exhilarating—when it is the right fit and provides opportunities to make connections with others at Saint Peter. As a follow up to this appeal, Saint Peter is hosting an event on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:00 p.m. to discuss how our church can create an even richer and more faithful experience for the entire community.
It was exciting to see several folks test drive new ministry roles and others re-commit to ministries they were already doing. It was clear that many of you felt a need to find a new ministry role or project. The next step in this process is for us to consider what Saint Peter ministries can become if we are each committed to participating in ways that nurture our faith, which means finding ministries that fit your personality, your passion, your talents and your time.
On October 3rd everyone is invited to come and take a fresh look at our ministry areas and ask yourself what is working and what might need to be re-imagined. Let’s spend some time together reflecting on what is important to you and how you can contribute to the vibrancy of the ministries at Saint Peter.
Saint Peter currently has over ten ministry teams made up of dedicated members with a passion for experiencing God’s profound welcome and for embracing the call to be sent into the world to make a difference. If we can get full participation, the sky is the limit for where these (or new!) ministries could head.
Please put Thursday, October 3rd at 6:00 p.m. on your calendar and join in this ministry visioning process. Refreshments and childcare will be provided.
