Parking Lot Worship Starts This Saturday

Saint Peter is planning its first in-person Communion Service for this coming Saturday, June 5th at 6:30 p.m. Worship will take place in the parking lot, with each registered household having access to a parking spot where they can park their car and/or set up their own chairs and blankets if they prefer to worship outside.

There are 29 available spots for worship. Registration for the coming Saturday opens on the previous Tuesday. A link to the signup form will be sent out in Pastor's Tuesday email each week. (Look for this week’s email late Tuesday night.) If capacity is reached, a waiting list will be available. Those on the waiting list will receive priority access for the following Saturday’s worship. Be sure to check out this week’s issue of Our Life Together (link above) for more details about our first in-person worship service this weekend.

Saint Peter’s regular schedule of 9:30 a.m. Online Worship service on Sundays and 7:00 p.m. Evening Prayer on Wednesdays will continue for the foreseeable future.

Family Celebration At Saint Peter This Sunday

Let's kick the summer off right with an outdoor gathering full of activities, door prizes and a chance to thank the Strezo family for dedicating so much time to Sunday School this last school year.

Sunday, June 6th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. outdoors at Saint Peter Lutheran Church.

We will follow COVID guidelines. Please wear a mask and bring your own water.

Come in clothes you can get wet from water balloons and messy with paint, flour and chalk! Bring your wheels, too. Whether bikes, trikes, skates, or scooters, kids can ride together in the parking lot.

For questions or to RSVP, contact Mary Pratt.

Saint Peter’s 2021 Summer Day Camp

Monday - Thursday, July 12-15
Theme: “Taking It Down the Mountain”

Friends and members of Saint Peter Lutheran Church, three years old through those who have completed the fifth grade, are invited to join us for this summer’s Day Camp. Our friends from Rainbow Trail will be on hand to lead us through four fantastic days of Sondance, Bible Study, Music, Recreation, Arts and Crafts, Devotions, Rest, Lunch, and a Closing Celebration. Middle School and High School students are invited to apply to serve as Day Camp Volunteers for the week.

The theme for this summer’s camp is “Taking It Down the Mountain!” (written by a team of Rocky Mountain Synod Pastors, including our own Pastor Dave). During this week we’ll be exploring how our faith can be nurtured not just while we are together at Day Camp, but throughout the entire year. Each day will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue through 3:00 p.m. Our preschool friends will finish up at 11:30 a.m. A closing program will take place on Thursday evening.

This year, campers are asked to register on the Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp website: https://forms.gle/AYMy8TkkSiGgwhku8. Rainbow Trail will be in touch with instructions about how to prepare for Day Camp, including instructions regarding daily health checks during the week leading up to July 12th.

Contact StPLC Day Camp Coordinator Courtney Williams with questions or to volunteer. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with smaller children.

A Mindful Meditation For Kids

Have you ever felt like you wanted to do something helpful and make a positive difference in the world, but didn’t know where to begin?  This can feel overwhelming.  We all feel that way at times.

It can be hard to think clearly when we feel upset or angry about something we know is not right or fair. I have recorded a mindful meditation that I hope will be relaxing, so your strong brain can do its best thinking. When we take good care of ourselves, we are better able to take good care of others the way Jesus wants us to.  Remember that you are loved by God, who is always with you!

Visit the Family Ministries web page to access the audio recording.
