Join Family Ministries at Saint Peter on Friday, July 8th to play games outside starting at 6:30 p.m. and then come inside to see LUCA at 7:00 p.m. This movie is a story of friendship and adventure during one summer on the Italian Riviera. We’ll finish the night off with s’mores!

Summertime Bucket List Idea Of The Week #4

“Each person should give what has been decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7

There are many ways to volunteer in your community including picking up trash while taking a walk. There is a family at Saint Peter who does this whenever they go for a walk!

Another idea could be volunteering at church. Would you enjoy greeting people as they come in? Would you like to read scripture? How about helping take care of our property? Ms Mary would love to hear your ideas about anything you’d be interested in doing! Your ideas could become part of our God’s Work. Our Hands. 2022 plan!

August And September Holy Hammers Build Dates

In addition to the July 23rd Holy Hammers build, there are also builds on August 20th and September 17th! There are spots open for Saint Peter members and friends interested in participating. Registration opens to the public two weeks prior to each build date. Currently, Holy Hammers is focusing on the Aria Townhomes at 2813 W 53rd Ave, Denver, CO 80221. If interested, contact Brittany Hass to reserve your spot.

Digital Church Attendance Now Possible

Yes, that is an iPad display in the Narthex!

Members and guests can now log their weekly worship attendance on the iPad if they prefer it over the paper attendance pad. This will make it easier for us to update or add contact information to our records going forward.

With the device, we can also make onsite ministry event signup easy. If you are a ministry leader and would like to have a signup form in the Narthex for one of your events, reach out to Sara Lancaster.

Next ‘Fourth Friday Film’ July 22nd

The Faith In Action (FIA) team invites you to a series of documentary film showings on the fourth Friday of each month through the summer. Bethany Laurie is graciously hosting the events in her backyard beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The next film on Friday, July 22nd is My Octopus Teacher, a filmmaker forges an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a South African kelp forest, learning as the animal shares the mysteries of her world. All are welcome. RSVP to FIA@stplc.org so we have enough chairs and refreshments.

Women’s Retreat Led By Pastor Vera November 17-19

It is with great enthusiasm that Contemplative Ministries at Saint Peter invites all women to our first, and hopefully annual, Women’s Retreat with Pastor Vera.

You don’t want to miss the opportunity to spend a couple of days with other ladies from Saint Peter at the beautiful Hideaway in Colorado Spring for a time of fellowship, faith and fun. The retreat will begin Thursday evening November 17th and run through Saturday afternoon November 19th.

Registration is open and spots are limited, so register early and get it on your calendar. The retreat cost is $190 and includes two nights in a double occupancy room, all meals and supplies. Payment options and scholarships are available.

If you have any questions, please contact Jeanne Maloney.
