Next ‘Fourth Friday Film’ This Friday

The Faith In Action (FIA) team invites you to a series of documentary film showings on the fourth Friday of each month through the summer. Bethany Laurie is graciously hosting the events in her backyard beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The next film on Friday, July 22nd is My Octopus Teacher, a filmmaker forges an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a South African kelp forest, learning as the animal shares the mysteries of her world. All are welcome. RSVP to FIA@stplc.org so we have enough chairs and refreshments.

StPLC Driveway Detour

You may have noticed that there is construction work on Belleview Avenue in front of the Saint Peter driveway. They are lining the sewer lines and eliminating some of the manholes, which could take up to three weeks to complete. The company doing the work plans to clear equipment in time for Sunday worship but you may need to take a detour through The Village parking lot next door during other times.

Save the dates! September 10th Selian 5k Race! September 11th God's Work Our Hands!

August And September Holy Hammers Build Dates

There are Holy Hammer builds on August 20th and September 17th! There are spots open for Saint Peter members and friends interested in participating. Registration opens to the public two weeks prior to each build date. Currently, Holy Hammers is focusing on the Aria Townhomes at 2813 W 53rd Ave, Denver, CO 80221. If interested, contact Brittany Hass to reserve your spot.

Bucket List Item #6

God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

If you went to Day Camp last week, you’ve already completed this bucket list item - DRAW A PICTURE OR WRITE A NOTE FOR SOMEONE.

Send A Note To Rainbow Trail Campers And Counselors

Our Saint Peter Campers at Rainbow Trail are loving receiving mail for Saint Peter members – whether email or a physical note! Thank you for taking a moment to show the young people of our congregation that we are thinking of them! See this week’s issue of Our Life Together to see who is there in the coming weeks.

Gratitude From GenOn

Last week, 40 Rainbow Trail Day Campers created and mailed notes to all five of StPLC’s high school Rainbow Trail campers in Hillside, CO. I wonder how that felt to receive a package of notes?

Because of our launch of LIFT (Living In Faith Together) during 2021-2022 and being able to adapt LIFT to provide faith formation for ALL ages in a hybrid model as well as small groups in homes, Saint Peter was invited to be a part of a focus group sponsored by GenOn Ministries.

Liz Perraud, Executive Director wrote: “These conversations were immensely beneficial for insight on current faith formation, family life, and future support for parents and church leaders.” We will receive an overview of this study when it is complete.

I am grateful for the valued input of the following individuals who participated in this study: Brittany/Adam Hass, Robyn Glaser, Linda Henke, Dawn Brodin, Jerry Paul, Dena Johnson, and Annie Heath. In appreciation of their time, we were given a complete year’s worth of LIFT lessons, valued at $418.00! Other LIFT participants with young children/grandchildren were also invited but were unavailable at the set time.
