ROLLING OUT THE RED CARPET

Thank you for your support of Saint Peter Lutheran Church! Your commitment of time, talent, and treasure make this sacred community space possible. As you prayerfully consider your 2024 commitment, reflect on the many ministries and services you and the community rely on! Commitment Sunday is November 12, but you don’t have to wait. Start your plan for 2024 today and visit www.stplc.org/stewardship. Connect in faith, grow in community, and serve God through hospitable and welcoming service to others in 2024!

CIVIL COVENANT

Over the last 4 weeks, members of the Saint Peter community participated in a “Civil Discourse” series after Sunday worship. During the final forum, the attendees crafted a Covenant for Civil Discourse. We commit to:

  • Begin every conversation with prayer and scripture.

  • Respect the dignity of all people and allow participants to make space for their personal boundaries and emotional safety.

  • Agree that any information shared within a conversation will not be misused or misrepresented to others.

  • Focus on common ground and values.

  • Actively listen and consider other perspectives.

  • Recognize God in the hearts of others and remember that everyone is on a different part of their faith journey.

  • Comment on ideas, not people, and encourage discourse, rather than discord.

  • End every conversation with prayer and gratitude.

SUNDAY FUNDAY UPDATES

This Sunday, we'll focus on being humble: "Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:4).

We will focus on Gratitude during the month of November. Be sure to take your Gratitude Calendar home. They're for EVERYONE, not just the kids. Each day we have a reminder of simple things we can do to practice gratitude. There is evidence-based data indicating that practicing gratitude can lower blood pressure!

Rainbow Trail Summer Camp registration is now open. Spots go quickly, so register your child at www.rainbowtrail.org. ALL summer camps fill quickly, so DO NOT WAIT!

THE NURSERY IS OPEN!

All parents/guardians are required to fill out a registration form before leaving their child/ren. Nursery during church is for infants through age 5 only. Guardians must sign children in and out.

SAVE THE DATE! 11/10 VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION!

Come to Saint Peter on 11/10 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and enjoy a happy hour with friends and family. Help make greeting cards for local veterans and show your appreciation for their sacrifice and dedication. Bring an appetizer to share!
