“LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me” (John 30:2). As we gather for worship on Sunday November 10 at 9 a.m., we gather as broken, vulnerable, eager and faithful Children of God, trusting in God’s faithfulness.
As individuals, a congregation, citizens, neighbors and as a global community, many are having a variety experiences of pain, hurt, fear, brokenness, and darkness: A scary diagnosis, broken relationships, emotional distress, mental illness, physical challenges and other experiences that bring tears to our eyes, our hearts to break and our spirits to tremble. In all these experiences and more, God desires for us to know the healing power of God’s presence.
We gather seeking healing for all that breaks us apart. We gather, even in our brokenness, to worship together, the one who invites all “who are weary and carrying heavy burdens.” And with God’s help, may we find rest.
