Missions and Ministries at Saint Peter
welcomed into god’s love and sent into god’s world
St. Peter Lutheran is an active church, a community-minded and inclusive place with a robust array of ministries and opportunities to serve - inside and outside of church. Explore a few of the many ways to connect with community, grow in faith, and serve God through service to others!
serve others
Faith in Action means getting involved, reaching out, and being engaged. From community advocacy, to caring for our unhoused neighbors, you will find many avenues of apostleship at Saint Peter. Get involved with Habitat for Humanity, Covenant Cupboard Food Bank, Tanzanian Ministry Support, Christ in the City, and many more!
connect in community
Saint Peter is a community hub. On any day of the week, you will find book clubs, sewing groups, prayer teams, gardeners, documentaries, crafters, guided meditation, Stephen Ministers, and folks busy organizing food and toy drives. Check out the calendar and jump in!
GRow in faith
Family Ministries is an inter-generational community of faithful servants and young people all learning from each other! In addition to many community projects and outreach opportunities, Family Ministries provides Confirmation classes, Sunday School, and an enriching, faith-filled Day Camp each summer.
make a joyful noise
Music is special part of worship at Saint Peter. You will enjoy traditional choral settings, evocative covers of chart-topping band hits, creative instrumental collaborations, handbells, and children’s seasonal pageantry.
worship together
Worship at Saint Peter is a rich, participatory experience with many opportunities for YOU! Each Sunday, volunteers provide support in the sacred tasks of welcoming folks, preparing the altar for worship, assisting with communion, and reading. Additionally, creative hearts and hands work to ensure that the Church seasons are properly appointed with paraments, decorations, and inspirational imagery.
find Support
If you want time with God, you are welcome in the Sanctuary. Please ring the bell during office hours and let us know you're here. You may also access the outdoor labyrinth for meditation.
