Community Thanksgiving Worship Tuesday

There will not be a worship service at Saint Peter on Thanksgiving Day, but we are participating in the nearby community Thanksgiving worship service on Tuesday (the 20th) this week. Join the celebration at 7:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. (5400 S. Yosemite St. Greenwood Village, CO 80111)

All proceeds from the Thanksgiving offering will go to support The Village Resource Center. Diana Huerta, caseworker for the VRC, will share stories about how the VRC is meeting the needs of people in our community. Our church's continued support of the Village Resource Center truly makes a difference in people's lives.

There will be a time of fellowship after the service. Please bring a pie to share!

Faith Forum: Spiritual Practices

For the next four Sundays, we will explore various Spiritual Practices that bring us closer to knowing and feeling God’s presence in our lives. Growing in our faith has many similarities to how we grow in other areas of our lives. Much like how we practice playing a musical instrument or a sport, it requires some commitment and discipline to mature in our faith. However, the idea of Spiritual Practice as a means to achieve a goal is not all that appealing. While commitment and discipline may be at the heart of practice, Spiritual Practice is not about perfection.

Spiritual Practices are much more about being on a journey of new discovery and growing awareness of the Divine’s presence all around us. God is infinite and everywhere, and we cannot not be in God’s presence. Spiritual Practices are an invitation to encounter the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in each of us. There is no right or wrong way to do that. Please come join us on Sunday mornings between services to see how some new and old Spiritual Practices might open up your heart to God’s ever-present love.

Faith Forum is Sunday mornings in the Narthex from 9:40 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. All adults, high school students and middle school student are invited to participate.
