A Family Christmas Like No Other

A “thank you” note from Miss Mary….

When I think of this 2020 Christmas Season and our celebration together at Saint Peter, here’s what I am grateful for and will always remember:

  • Sunday School each week, telling the story of Jesus’ birth through weekly recorded creative and fun plays and demonstrations of crafts and snacks

  • Advent wreath making together and seeing the photos of your wreaths in your homes

  • Advent devotionals in every Saint Peter household

  • Different families reading the Psalms during worship throughout Advent

  • Bringing an extra big batch of hats, gloves and socks to the people I volunteer with at Christ in the City

  • Last, but definitely not least, the Kid’s Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve. In particular, I enjoyed:

    • The Howie family leading us in singing “Away in a Manger”

    • Our four older youth, Taylor, Caley, Brynn and Dean playing the “Who Am I?” game

    • The 14 different children’s voices reading our gospel Luke 2:1-20

    • Singing Silent Night with Pastor Dave telling us the story behind it

    • “Jesus is Born” play as enacted live by the Von Stroh, Howie and Strezo families

So, again, thank you for all the ways you spread the love of Jesus and of each other this Christmas Season, creating connections among Saint Peter families in new and different and creative and sustaining ways. Here are some photos from the Kids’ Christmas Service to help us remember it all.
