Lent To Easter - Jesus And Me!
All the kids who have picked up their Lent-In-A-Bag also got supplies for making Alleluia Sticks, which we will use on Easter Sunday. Now we’d like to offer the same Easter supplies to Saint Peter adults! This is an all-ages event!
Don’t know what an Alleluia Stick is? No problem. Check out this YouTube video produced by another church. https://youtu.be/L2pLx-Vph_4
If you’d like supplies from Family Ministries, let Miss Mary know before March 20th. We’ll arrange a time for you to pick them up. If you are unable to get to Saint Peter, we will find volunteers to bring them to you.

Black History Month Videos
In honor of Black History Month, Saint Peter’s Family Ministries and Faith In Action teams found a few videos to share during the February 14th worship service. See our own Jonah Hass play Amazing Grace on the piano and learn about other sacred songs in this post on the StPLC blog.
Faith Forum This Coming Sunday
This week (February 28), we will resume the conversations on sexuality during the Faith Forum hour. You can find the reading for week four here: https://bit.ly/2Z7S4BC. The readings are insightful but not required as each session also starts with a video to get the conversation started. All are welcome to join the whether you have attended so far or not. These conversations are always best when we have a diverse group of men and women to share.
Here’s the week 5/chapter 5 reading too.
Saint Peter Annual Congregation Meeting Summary
On Sunday, February 14, the people of Saint Peter Lutheran Church gathered for their Annual Congregation Meeting. It was described by President Bruce Stokes as, “our first-ever Zoom Annual Meeting; hopefully our last.” It was a time to focus on 2020 — a year described by Pastor Dave Risendal as, “a year we never could have anticipated… a year we likely will never forget.” It was a time to look forward to 2021, the celebration of Saint Peter’s 40th anniversary of ministry, and the congregation’s plans to move forward together with strength and vitality.
For more details of the meeting, see this week’s issue of Our Life Together. For reports from ministry leaders, congregational officers and staff members, you can download the 2020 Annual Report here. In addition, the following documents may be of interest:

Tips For Finding The COVID Vaccine In South Denver
We’ve received a few tips from Saint Peter members indicating how/where to find a COVID vaccine.
Denver Health: Information at https://www.denverhealth.org/patients-visitors/coronavirus or call 303-436-7000 to schedule an appointment. They have info and are providing vaccines to both Denver Health and non-Denver Health patients. Several 65+ Saint Peter members have had success calling this number!
Kaiser Permanente has a nice description of the different rollout phases as well as interest/registration forms for both members and non-members. We have heard that some teachers are having luck getting an appointment through Kaiser. https://healthy.kaiserpermanente.org/colorado/health-wellness/coronavirus-information/covid-vaccine
The Denver Post has a running list of providers that they will continue to update. https://www.denverpost.com/2021/01/28/colorado-covid-19-vaccine-appointments/
In Search Of…An Artist To Make A New Earthenware Set
The StPLC Altar Guild continues to look for an earthenware communion set. If anyone knows of someone who could make one for us, please let us know. We would truly be grateful. You can contact Janet McGaw or any other member of the team.
Ron Leighton Memorial Scholarship Fund
With the passing of our good friend and longtime Saint Peter member Ron Leighton, Ron left us with a gift. In lieu of flowers, his family asked that funds be donated to the Saint Peter Scholarship Fund — a ministry that seeks to support those of us who are beginning times of study beyond high school. In turn, our congregation has recently decided to rename this fund the “Ron Leighton Memorial Scholarship Fund.” This is a fitting way to allow his passion for learning to continue shaping our life together.
If you would like to honor Ron, and support this ministry, visit www.StPLC.org and look for the “donate” button in the footer to make a contribution
