StPLC Day Camp July 12-16th/Volunteers and Donations Needed
We are just under a month away from this year's Day Camp, "Taking it Down the Mountain"! The planning team has put together an awesome week of activities and we are so excited to welcome all our campers and Rainbow Trail counselors!
We are looking for volunteers for the following: Provide lunch or dinner to RTLC staff, preschool youth/adult helpers, and K-6 youth/adult helpers.
One of our activities will be creating "Blessing Bags" to give to those in need, so we are looking for the following donation items: non-perishable snack items and travel-size toiletry items.
Responding to Gun Violence As People Of Faith
June is a special month for remembrances and commemorations. In June we celebrate Pride and our LGTBQ+ community. This year we saw the passage of Juneteenth as a federal holiday. We remember the Emanual Nine and lift up prayers for the survivors, which many of us at Saint Peter had a chance to do on Wednesday, June 16th, during the Evening Prayer service. It is fitting that we also take the month of June to raise awareness about gun violence, seeing that LGTBQ+ and people of color are often victims of gun violence.
