Wednesdays In Lent Mean Soup + Monologues
StPLC is hosting soup suppers every Wednesday in Lent at 6:00 p.m. before evening worship at 7:00 p.m. SOUP SUPPERS are potluck style, so look for the sign-up on the Narthex doors. All are invited whether you bring soup or not!
AND…back again this year by popular demand…each Wednesday evening service will include a monologue by one of the people who were present during the first Holy Week (as played by a Saint Peter actor). Last Wednesday we heard from “The Woman Who Anointed Jesus” as portrayed by Bethany Laurie. Here’s what we have coming up:
March 8 - Pilate; Walt Meyer and Pilate’s Wife; Vicky Simpson
March 15 - Judas Iscariot; Steve Leighton
March 22 - The Mother of Judas; Karyl Meyer
March 29 - The Roman Centurion; Lee Dehmlow
First Communion Class This Saturday
Has your child expressed curiosity about Holy Communion? Do you feel that they are ready to receive this gift of grace, forgiveness and eternal life?
Pastor Michael and Ms. Mary would like to provide your child/ren instruction about the Sacrament of Holy Communion. This class will help our child/ren understand both the significance of our Baptism and Holy Communion, what it means to be completely welcomed to the Lord’s table, and stories related to our traditions involving sharing meals together.
First Communion Instruction will be held on Saturday, March 11, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Saint Peter. RSVP to pastor@stplc.org.
LIFT During Lent
On the 2nd and 4th Sundays, all are invited to participate in LIFT (Living in Faith Together) down in the Fellowship Hall.
For Lent, we are taking this special time for prayer and reflection to learn about contemplative practices using art, music and poetry. Make space for God in your heart this Lent. Come and explore these fun and creative practices.

Check Out The Family Ministries’ Lenten Calendar Devotional
Whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Jesus says in Matthew 25:40
It’s never too late to begin your daily Lenten Devotional. Calendars are available on the Family Ministries’ information board in the Narthex. Or, let Ms. Mary know you’d like one or several and she will mail them to you. They are also available in the outside bin.
Ms. Mary’s favorites so far:
March 1 - What are 3 things you are grateful for?
March 2 - Where do you see God today?
March 11 - Go to bed early (we lose one hour of sleep as we “Spring Forward”!) And remember to include our unhoused friends in your prayers each day.
And remember to include our unhoused friends in your prayers each day.
