STPLC delegation attends synod assembly in el paso, TX
This year’s ELCA Rocky Mountain Synod took place in El Paso, Texas, from May 16-18. The event featured special focus on human migration and how that impacts ministry along the border region. Additionally, all assembly participants had an opportunity to go on a “mini-immersion” to visit with ministry leaders and migrants. Pastor Mike, Jeanne Maloney, Allison Summerton, Sara Lancaster, and Chuck Baker attended the event. Read all about their experience here.
WE CAN REACH 125 WORSHIPERS BY SEPTEMBER 10!
We have had many celebrations (and cake. So much cake.) over the past couple months. Between farewell and welcome events, Palm Sunday and Easter, a confirmation and a baptism, the sanctuary has been full of life, music, and people! With the summer months ahead, Pastor Mike has a challenge: keep the energy going, and reach 125 worshipers by Sunday, September 10. Hold time in your prayers for this effort. And if the Spirit moves you, invite a friend or acquaintance to worship with you, or call up a former member and invite them back!
HELP SPREAD THE WORD WITH AN StPLC A GOOGLE REVIEW
Pastor Mike is right. The best way to attract visitors to Saint Peter is through personal invitations. And the second-best way is with a Google Review!
If you haven’t already left a review online, please take a couple of minutes this week to share with the online world what you think is special about our south Denver church. It’s free to do and will only take you a couple of minutes. You can find instructions from Google here. You can find the Saint Peter listing here.
Staff updates
After four and a half years, Sara Lancaster is transitioning out of the role of Communication Coordinator. We are incredibly grateful for her years of hard work. This is not goodbye! We are excited to continue worshiping with Sara at StPLC. For newsletter information, please reach out to Arielle Wilson (awilson@stplc.org).
