Saint Peter member Karen Clair shared her story about blood donation. She has been passionate about donating blood ever since she received a letter of appreciation from the president of Bonfils (now Vitalant) after her donation in the spring of 1999. In part, the letter said: “In light of the recent community tragedy surrounding Columbine High School, I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for the social responsibility you have assumed through regular blood donation. Your volunteer blood donation, which was made within 42 days before the Columbine tragedy, contributed to the immediate availability and readiness of blood to support the community during this difficult time. Trauma and accident victims who require life saving blood products are in need of immediate transfusions. They cannot afford to wait for the future availability of collected and tested blood products. Thanks to your volunteer donation in advance, our community was more than adequately prepared.”

Spread the word and save a life.

WORLD LABYRINTH DAY 5/4, 1PM

Every year on the first Saturday in May, thousands of people around the globe participate in World Labyrinth Day as a Moving Meditation for World Peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience.

Ms. Mary will have labyrinth stickers for everyone attending on May 4 at 1PM. They are a great resource of the importance of taking moments throughout the day to pray, breathe and sustain a sense of calm. These "finger labyrinths" adhere to water bottles! There will be other take-homes with ideas to make walking a labyrinth (even finger-walking) a sacred habit for everyone.
