WELCOME PASTOR MICHAEL AND LINDA TEKRONY!

Saint Peter, you are resilient and ready to ride the waves of change! We were richly blessed this spring by the bridge pastorship of Pastor Vera. And now we are happy to welcome Pastor TeKrony and his wife Linda TeKrony to Saint Peter. We are so grateful for this thoughtful interim period to reflect, pray, and move forward. Thank you, Pastor TeKrony for your presence and guidance!

UPDATED CHURCH HOURS

To best support the staff, the church office will be open Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

CONFIRMATION BRAINSTORM, JUNE 9

Save the date! After church on Sunday, June 9th, come and discuss plans for Confirmation in the fall. Share your feedback on what’s working, what we can improve, etc. Let’s work together to create a wonderful experience for our youth as they lay the foundation for a lifetime of faith! Questions? Contact Steve Leighton (vp@stplc.org).

CCFP: VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION BBQ, JUNE 8

Join us this Saturday, June 8th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Volunteer Appreciation Barbecue. Food will be from Hickory House BBQ in Parker and served at the pantry. The meal and social time will be preceded by an brief update of the pantry’s accomplishments in 2023 and the start of 2024. Call or text Laura at 303-641-5645 if you plan to attend but have not received an invite or were unable to RSVP online!

CUPBOARD UPDATES

Last week we offered food to 168 families, including 5 from Aspen Adult Day Care and 16 new families. Since it was the fifth Friday of the month, some clients had already reached their two-visit limit for the month. These folks were reminded of the limit and offered an emergency box of non-perishable food which also includes a list of other nearby pantries.

There are many ways to support CCFP! Sign up to help, donate online, or choose CCFP as your King Soopers loyalty card non-profit designee. Need more ideas? We can always use donations of books! Or do you have extra veggies in your garden? We are happy to accept any extras you may have, especially if they are cleaned up and packaged for distribution. Thank you for your generous support!

SIGN UP FOR DAY CAMP OR REFER A FRIEND!

DAY CAMP VOLUNTEERS AND SPIRIT DAYS!

“Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭13).‬

Day Camp is coming July 8-11! We will have four faith-filled college students from Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp visiting to serve as our counselors and guide the kids through learning that we are all “Created to Be…Loved, Present, ME! (Our Unique Selves), Disciples, and Agents of Change.” Help us be hospitable by offering to host/house 2 or 4 counselors for the week, or to share a lunch or supper with them one day during their visit. Contact Andy Mohrhaus (mohrhaus.a@gmail.com) for more information and to sign up.

DAY CAMP SPIRIT DAYS: Turn t-shirts into Friendship Bracelets!

Join the Day Camp Spirit Days opening challenge! Wear any Rainbow Trail or Day Camp shirt to church on Sunday or snap a selfie at a church or service event and score a Friendship Bracelet from the Day Camp swag bag! Send pics to Arielle (awilson@stplc.org) or Ms. Mary (mpratt@stplc.org).

Once you register (free!) for day camp or volunteering, a bracelet is yours, too. How many bracelets can you collect? Watch for more Spirit Day challenges as we get closer to Day Camp July 8-11! Register today!

SAVE THE DATE! WE RUN SO THEY MAY WALK 5K: AUG 24

Get ready for the 16th Annual “We Run So They May Walk” 5K Race to support Tanzanian missions! Meander through the neighborhood with friends and family, or challenge yourself to Catch the Waggoners.

Are you interested in helping to plan or sponsor? If you have an interest in helping in ways large or small, please reach out to Terri Mohrhaus, Valerie Watkins or Carol Mayer!

SEND MAIL TO RAINBOW TRAIL CAMPERS

We have lots of Rainbow Trail Campers this summer who would enjoy receiving a note from YOU! The most reliable way to send a note is by email. Here’s how: Go to www.rainbowtrail.org. Click the red “email your camper” button on the top right of the page. All you need to know is the first and last name of the StPLC camper. Write a short note. That’s it! Mila P., and Drew B. are at camp June 16-22. Ava P. is at camp June 16-19. If you wish to verify last names, just reach out to Ms. Mary mpratt@stplc.org.

A NOTE FROM DARLENE RENEVIER

Dear Saint Peter and “Motorized Ministers,”
I hope you realize how much it means to me that I am able to come to church and be with my church family every Sunday. Your kindness makes a huge difference in my life. Not only that, but I have the honor of sharing what you are doing for me with other residents of my home. Seeing you all each week brings me joy that lasts all week.
With gratitude and love,
Darlene.
