HE IS RISEN INDEED!
"Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: 'I have seen the Lord!'" (John 20:18)
Thank you for worshiping and celebrating on Easter Sunday! The service included a brass fanfare, the Hallelujah chorus, sweet springtime lilies, and a lots of friends and family. He is risen indeed — hallelujah!
ADULT EDUCATION IS COMING TO SAINT PETER
Survey says ... Saint Peter is eager to learn! During the transition reflection sessions, the Saint Peter community listed adult education as a top priority. Topical, relevant, challenging, thought-provoking: engage with your Saint Peter friends and family in Bible education and take a faith journey together!
Understanding Paul (May 4, 11, 18 after worship)
Please join Pastor Vera after worship on Sunday May 4, 11 and 18 to study the life of the Apostle Paul. Together we’ll learn how God, in God’s wisdom, chose to use this intelligent, sharp, zealous, deadly persecutor for the promotion of God’s Kingdom. In three sessions we’ll learn of Saul’s persecution of Christians, his conversion from Saul to Paul, his life and journeys and his powerful influence in Christendom.
Faith & Technology: Navigating the Digital Age with Wisdom (*June 15, 22, 29 after worship)
Join us for a three-part educational series that explores how Christians can navigate the digital world with wisdom, engage younger generations effectively, and use technology to strengthen their faith and ministry. All are welcome! We especially hope that some of the youth (middle school and up) will join us to share their thoughts and insights. Childcare and snacks will be provided. SCHOLARSHIP TIME!
The annual Ron Leighton Memorial Scholarship application process is open. If you are an active St. Peter member, a role model for others, and if you have been accepted to an accredited post-secondary educational program and you have a specific educational goal, you are eligible to apply. There are no financial need, grades, or age requirements. The process includes completing an application, submitting a short essay, providing some references, and participating in an interview with the Scholarship Committee. Applications and instructions are available on the StPLC website for you to print, complete and return to the church office. Questions? - Reach out to Ken Gerhart. Remember: the deadline is April 30th.
SAVE YOUR POP TOPS
The Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" for many folks with hospitalized children. The Pop Tab Recycling Program is an easy way to support this valuable resource. Simply pull off your beverage can tabs or soup tops (anything with a pull tab!) and bring them to church! We will collect them in a large jar in the narthex for delivery and recycling.
