Sunday Morning Faith Forum
This Sunday’s Faith Forum in between Worship Services will continue to focus on Brian McLaren’s book The Great Spiritual Migration, with a specific look at McLaren’s ideas on missional migration. He proposes that the faithful are identifying less with organized religion and more with organizing religion, working toward healing the planet, building peace, overcoming poverty and injustice, and collaborating with other faiths to ensure a better future for us all.
This week, we are also fortunate to have Saint Peter members Walt and Karyl Meyer share a few of their thoughts about Faith Forum. Look for that article on the first page of this Sunday’s Weekly or you can read it online here.
Sunday Morning Coffee Hour Refreshments
This Sunday, Coffee Hour refreshments will be provided by StPLC representatives of the Holy Hammers/Habitat for Humanity Ministry. Stop by for a treat and to learn more about Habitat and the upcoming Saint Peter builds on April 18th, May 16th, June 13th and July 18th.
Youth and Family Worship and Service Project THIS SUNDAY
Join the StPLC Youth and Family team for lunch and a chance to brainstorm faith and family at Saint Peter. The meeting will follow the second Worship Service and meet in the Fellowship Hall. Kids are welcome and will have an opportunity to make blessing bags for those in need.
There’s Still Time to Donate Socks for February Feet
Bring in NEW and/or GENTLY WORN SOCKS for the folks at Christ in the City, an organization that supports homeless men and women in downtown Denver. A donation box is in the Narthex through this Sunday.
Comprehensive Ministry Review at Saint Peter
As we prepare to celebrate our 40th Anniversary of Ministry (April 12, 2021), we are taking a close look at our ministries and developing a plan to help us thrive for many years to come. As part of this effort, Pastor Dana Peterson, an ELCA trained consultant, and a team developed by the Rocky Mountain Synod, will help us conduct a Comprehensive Ministry Review the weekend of March 6-8.
Pastor Peterson and his team will present the congregation with their initial report at Faith Forum on March 8th. The entire congregation is requested to participate in this gathering. It will begin at 9:40 a.m. in the Worship Center. Please keep this process in your daily prayers, asking God to inspire us with bold and faithful ideas that can help Saint Peter to be its strongest and most vital in the future.
Church Chicks March Update
The Dress for Success rack will be up in the Narthex for the next couple of weeks and the items will be delivered after Coffee at Panera on March 14th. We will plan to have this happen monthly throughout the year. The next meal at The Delores Project is in April. If you are interested in helping, please let Jo Kurowski or Annie Heath know.
New StPLC Security System
We have installed upgrades to our security system that will monitor the entire building. In the upcoming week, all security codes will be reset and instructions/information will be sent out to all people/groups that use the building outside of normal operating hours.

Great Turnout For Last Week’s Immigration Talk
Thank you to Attorney Hans Meyer for visiting Saint Peter last Sunday and for sharing information about asylees, refugees and immigrants. Thank you to all who attended his talk, too! Be on the lookout for more info from that discussion and the seven-week Refugee Table Talk Series that wrapped up on February 19th.
