May 8, 2020, StPLC Events Update

The Church Building Remains Closed

For the time being, the church building and grounds remain closed until further notice. The only current exceptions are the Administrator who visits the office occasionally to check the mail, Pastor who uses the Worship Center to broadcast worship services on Sundays and Wednesdays and the Property Team, which has a number of individuals who are working on facility and landscaping maintenance. Groups that want to meet at Saint Peter need to consult with the Congregation Council before scheduling or holding events.

It’s up to all of us to keep each other safe! For now, Saint Peter is working best by meeting online. Thanks for understanding.

Be on the lookout for a special video message from Pastor Dave in his Saturday email. He will talk more about the future of worship at Saint Peter.

Celebrating Mother’s Day This Sunday

To help celebrate Mother’s Day, let’s all bring our favorite photos of mom to worship this Sunday morning. Like we did for Easter, we will make time to share what you bring. (Pictured here is a newborn Brooke Tieperman with her mom, Lana.)

Additionally, we will continue our special offering series where we lift up different causes/organizations each week. This Sunday, we are looking at Joshua Station in Denver, which provides housing for families in need, and that includes many single mothers and their children.

Saint Peter MOPs is currently taking on a Spruce-A-Room project at Joshua Station. The room is for a young mom and her six-month-old baby girl. MOPs could use some help with painting before they begin decorating. They are also looking for a gently used full-size bed and a crib.

Contact MOPs leaders Sara Orlino and Stephanie Swift if you can help.

Stay Online After Sunday Worship For Faith Forum

You are invited to join some of your Saint Peter friends this Sunday after worship for a discussion about Rob Bell's book, Love Wins. Even if you aren't able to read the book, you are still invited to attend!

Continued Giving To StPLC

During these times when we are unable to gather, our ministry expenses remain constant. If you are able to support the work of Saint Peter, we would be deeply grateful. Most banks will set up automatic payments free of charge or you can make contributions through Vanco, Saint Peter’s vendor for payment processing. Visit the StPLC home page or follow this link: https://tinyurl.com/donatetosaintpeter. To avoid high credit card processing fees paid by Saint Peter, please consider giving by check. The echeck process is easy and cost-effective!
