Welcoming Mary Pratt To Saint Peter Staff!
Saint Peter member Mary Pratt has joined Saint Peter staff to head up our church's Family Ministries. Mary's role is new, which means it will evolve as she has time to visit with families and learn how this incredibly important ministry can take shape. Plan to attend worship next Sunday, October 18th, for a formal introduction and prayer. Welcome, Mary!

Covenant Cupboard Toy Distribution
The Annual Covenant Cupboard Christmas Toy Distribution will take place on December 4th and 11th at Saint Peter, but due to COVID-19 there are some changes this year. We are following the “adopt-a-family model” where you sign-up to provide gifts for one (or more!) deserving family. The sign-up form will be coming from Covenant Cupboard soon. Contact Steve Werner if you’d like to adopt and/or volunteer.
Faith Formation Ministry Updates
Faith Forum is aiming to engage your heart and mind to nourish your spiritual longing, as we seek ways to explore and enter into a deeper expression of faith. Please join the conversation about how spirituality points to a path – to choices of belief, value commitments, patterns of life, and practices of faith that allow Christ to be formed in us. Last week, we talked about prayer, and this week we look at prayer as a form of communication. Faith Forum takes place on the same Zoom link as worship.
The fall book study on Lenny Duncan’s Dear Church: A Love Letter from a Black Preacher to the Whitest Denomination in the US is taking place on Wednesday evenings immediately following Saint Peter’s Evening Prayer (about 7:30 p.m.) on the same Zoom link. This past week, the discussion hit on how each of us can only understand the world from the stories that are uniquely are own and acknowledging that Dylan Roof (the shooter at Emanuel AME church in Charleston, SC) was raised in an ELCA church. It made the group wonder how our churches might be a stronger witness and guide to our young people. All are welcomed to join the class at any time.
