This Sunday’s High School Graduate Recognition

This coming Sunday, August 7, we will honor Chelsea Ackman, a 2022 Smoky Hill High School graduate. Chelsea will be attending the University of Southern California. Come join us at worship as we recognize Chelsea’s many accomplishments and celebrate her faith journey at Saint Peter and beyond. All are welcome at the donut reception following worship.

Email your favorite hymns and worship songs to Beryl and let her know if you want to join the band for your tune. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the band will start jamming at 7:00 p.m. Can’t wait to see you there!

Last Chance! Send A Note To Rainbow Trail Campers And Counselors

Our Saint Peter Campers at Rainbow Trail are loving receiving mail for Saint Peter members – whether email or a physical note! Thank you for taking a moment to show the young people of our congregation that we are thinking of them! See this week’s issue of Our Life Together to see who is there this week.

Please join in on Saturday, September 10, for Saint Peter’s annual race through our Greenwood Village neighborhood and enjoy festivities on the Saint Peter Labyrinth following the run/walk. Ms. Mary’s Bucket List Item #8

Each person should give what they have decided in their heart give, not reluctantly or compulsion, for God loves cheerful giver. II Corinthians 9:7

DO A CHORE YOU DON’T LIKE TO DO, WITHOUT BEING ASKED

I know. This one can be a challenge. But it tends to be a favorite among parents, grandparents, and all caregivers. Invite God to help you do this. Be sure to mark it off your Summer Bucket List. Pay attention to how doing this one makes you feel when you’re all done.

Do You Get The eConnection?

It is astounding how much our Rocky Mountain Synod is doing and offering. But you wouldn’t know if you didn’t get the weekly eConnection! You really don’t want to miss it. Sign up to receive the weekly Wednesday email at rmselca.org website at https://bit.ly/3zF2hZH.

In this last week’s issue (July 27), the article entitled “Thirsting for Water: At the Intersection of Climate, Water, and Hunger” inspired me. I found it to be a terrific follow-up to the Earthbound series we studied with the Faith in Action team during Adult Forum last year.

If you have a passion for creation justice, please be sure to check it out. Plus, you may want to join Ms Mary, Jeanne Maloney and others on Zoom (or in person at Bethany Lutheran Church) on Saturday, September 17 for the "Thirsting for Water" program, which is hosted by the RMS Hunger Ministry Team.

Still! StPLC Driveway Detour

You may have noticed that there is construction work on Belleview Avenue in front of the Saint Peter driveway. They are lining the sewer lines and eliminating some of the manholes, which could take up to three weeks to complete. The company doing the work plans to clear equipment in time for Sunday worship but you may need to take a detour through The Village parking lot next door during other times.
