WHO’S WHO AT SAINT PETER?
Say hello to Phoebe! She has the unusual talent of shutting her nostrils on command like a seal. Ask her to show you this interesting ability before she grows out of it. And it's her big brother Jonah who is adapting “The Princess Bride” for performance on his middle school stage. He hopes to play the Impressive Priest himself.
This week’s mystery person was a member of the marching band in high school. You might be surprised to learn that they toted around one of the largest band instruments: the tuba. They also played the baritone (euphonium). Their favorite song “Champion” played before each basketball game. Who is it? Check out this week’s newsletter for the reveal. Send Arielle (awilson@stplc.org) pictures and a few trivia pieces, and you might be featured in an upcoming newsletter. Make connections and start conversations with your Saint Peter community!

GOD’S WORK. OUR HANDS. SEPTEMBER 8
Save the Date! This year, GWOH is scheduled for Sunday, September 8. This day is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America: one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. Service activities offer an opportunity for us to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans: that all of life in Jesus Christ — every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life — flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.
Keep an eye on the newsletter for announcements about St. Peter’s participation in this inspiring day! There will be service opportunities and projects suitable for everybody. Contact Jody Hinsey with questions (counciil@stplc.org).
