TRANSITION REFLECTIONS THIS SUNDAY AFTER WORSHIP!

The work of the congregation is centered on its relationship with God – that is especially true during times of transition. As we seek a new rostered minister, our work will be rooted in and guided by Bible study. So join the Transition Team THIS SUNDAY after worship to share your thoughts! The conversation is inspired by Isaiah 43:19 I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth; do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Consider what you’ve experienced at Saint Peter. What rivers have you enjoyed, forded, or navigated? Have the rivers been lazy and comfortable? Have there also been rapids? What wilderness have you traveled? What’s helped you along in the journey? How have you supported others in their pilgrimage? What’s inspired you? What’s held you back? Come share in small-group discussion (with snacks!) directly after worship in Fellowship Hall or attend via Zoom.

UPDATED CHURCH HOURS

To best support the staff, the church office will be open Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MS. MARY

DEAR SAINT PETER COMMUNITY,

I am deeply grateful for the support and the opportunities you’ve provided me to learn and to grow in my position as Coordinator of Family Ministries at Saint Peter Lutheran Church over the past three years and ten months. Working in this position has strengthened my own faith life, and it has been an honor to serve with and for this exceptional community of faith. Your trust and confidence enabled me to create, innovate, and initiate new programs, knowing you walked alongside me and in many cases, worked directly with me on our many projects.

I have faithfully prayed for discernment regarding my decision to step away from this position, effective August 4, 2024. It has been a difficult decision as I love this community and I have made deep and lasting friendships. My hope is that my love for and service to you is commensurate with the love and service I have experienced from each of you. Thank you for giving me this extraordinary opportunity. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for me and for each of us.

With Deep Gratitude,
Mary Pratt/Ms. Mary

WHO’S WHO AT SAINT PETER?

Last week we learned that Dave McGaw spent his weekends washing postal trucks at his dad’s gas station/garage. Now can you guess which Saint Peter member is originally from Ankeny, Iowa? They say that their superpower is handling BIG messes. Check out this week’s newsletter for the reveal. Send Arielle (awilson@stplc.org) pictures and a few trivia pieces, and you might be featured in an upcoming newsletter. Make connections and start conversations with your Saint Peter community!
